Landscape Crew Leader

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years experience leading a landscape maintenance crew and possess a valid OH driver's license with a clean DMV record. 


Hourly wage: $15-$18 and will be based on the applicant's experience and knowledge.

 

General Responsibilities:

1. Excellent organization, leadership, time management, and communication skills. Looks for ways to increase productivity and minimize down time. Operates on a schedule and within budgeted time frames.

2. Actively services annual landscape maintenance contracts and special projects for the company's clients. Attentive to the clients' needs and requests and communicates effectively. Evaluates quality of landscape services provided and develops procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

3. Manages a crew of one to five laborers. Provides on-site supervision of crew assignments. Trains the crew on the safe operation of equipment and proper horticultural practices. Promotes a safety culture by maintaining a safe work environment at all times. 

4. Plans, schedules, supervises, and actively participates in daily production tasks including, but not limited to: rejuvenation pruning & shearing, trimming, mulching, mowing, weed-eating, edging, weeding, tree/shrub installation, perennial and annual color installations, paver patio and wall installation, stone walks and wall installation, and other tasks. Uses horticulture and plant ID knowledge to diagnose insect & disease issues on plant material. Oversees the loading of trucks to ensure all materials, tools and supplies needed for the job are available when needed.

5. Records and submits paperwork completely, accurately, and in a timely fashion (e.g., time cards, receipts/invoices, truck inventory list, weekly logs, safety logs, vehicle maintenance logs, mulch logs, and flower logs, etc.).

6. Operates the company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner. (i.e., drives within the speed limit and does not operate a smartphone or other distracting devices while driving, aware of the increased need to drive slowly and defensively with a trailer and heavy load, abstains from the use of alcohol and drugs prior to and during work, etc.).

7. Increases awareness of equipment maintenance and tool needs. (i.e., checks fluid levels in vehicles, mowers, and equipment and immediately reports any maintenance or equipment service needs to the operations manager). Takes personal responsibility for tools and equipment issued to his crew. 

8. Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Wears a company-issued uniform on a daily basis and ensures that employees are properly uniformed at all times. Reflects a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers. Promotes a team environment.

9. Assists in keeping the company's vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized. (i.e., trucks and trailers are kept free of trash and landscape debris, etc.)

Lawncare Crew Leader

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three (3) years experience leading a lawncare maintenance crew and possess a valid OH driver's license with a clean DMV record.
 

Hourly wage: $14-$16 and will be based on the applicant's experience and knowledge.

 

General Responsibilities:

 

1. Excellent organization, leadership, time management, and communication skills. Looks for ways to increase productivity and minimize down time. Operates on a schedule and within budgeted time frames.

 

2. Actively services seasonal lawncare maintenance contracts and special projects for the company's clients. Attentive to the clients' needs and requests and communicates effectively. Evaluates quality of lawncare services provided and develops procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

3. Manages a crew of one to five laborers. Provides on-site supervision of crew assignments. Trains the crew on the safe operation of equipment and proper lawncare practices. Promotes a safety culture by maintaining a safe work environment at all times.

Entry level position and no experience required.  Must possess a valid OH driver's license with a clean DMV record and a willingness to learn.  


Hourly wage: $10-$16 and will be based on the applicant's experience and knowledge.
